That evening, we walked around the festival downtown, which featured lots of exotic food (Mmmm, boiled grasshoppers! Deep-fried chicken embryos!), local art, and this wacky sport: takraw, which is basically volleyball with the feet. The back-flipping spikes were some of the most amazing athletics we've ever seen.
