| Ah, thank the heavens for those long vacations that you get at Korean universities. We escaped the Korean winter weather in Thailand for our winter 2001 break, and most of the time we wished we would never have to leave. The first few days were spent exploring Bangkok, then we traveled by rail and bus down the peninsula with a long stop in Petchaburi, and eventually met up with Cheris's dad and stepmom on the famous tourist destination island of Phuket.
