Well, that's about it. China blew us away at almost every step we took. Any regrets? Of course, we're sad to have missed out on Tiananmen Square. We would have also liked to see a little more of China's everyday people and markets, but with so many historical and other attractions and so little time, we understood that we got a pretty good deal from our whirlwind package tour.

We really enjoyed the company of the other folks in our tour group, some of whom you've seen throughout these pages, and so we've set aside some space below just for them:

Here's one table full of group members, enjoying our final meal of the trip...

...and here's the other table.

Special thanks to Dianne and Alan from England, who shared quite a few pitchers of beer us while discussing impressions of China and laughing about the differences between British and American English.

Here are two totally random street scenes that couldn't find a home anywhere else on these pages... featuring the pedal-powered vehicles (typical and unusual) that move thousands of Beijing residents from one place to another.

Here's a shot of some Yuan and Xian bills, China's currency. China has been phasing out coins for a few years now, so these days Chinese and tourist wallets are stuffed with plenty of bills of varying sizes and colors.

THANK YOU...
...for working your way though these pages. We really hoped you enjoyed them. If you have travel stories to tell, or a travel website of your own, be sure to let us know.
