Oh, my. It's the Great Wall of China. Really.

We went to Badaling, the most touristy (and thus the best-restored) part of the wall, so the vendors were all over us like ants on a picnic blanket, but it didn't matter much: hiking along the wall, looking at the rolling hills of the Chinese countryside, brings on an unforgettable feeling, but one that's difficult to describe. Let's just let the pictures speak for themselves. By the way, any unfamiliar folks in these shots are members of our tour group or other friendly travelers that we chatted with while hiking around.
