Here's where the trip got surreal: we were headed for a temple as our next site, but decided to take a scenic shortcut on an unnamed, unnumbered coastal road that we saw on our map. After the scenic coastal portion was through, on our way back towards the highway, we got lost, and then as a fog rolled in we found ourselves passing by several of these World War II airplane hangers built into small hills, used by the Japanese during the occupation.
